My recent experience fighting cancer is the motivation behind the creation of Positive Spin.  For me, the first of many steps on the road to recovery was embracing the right attitude.  I feel that maintaining my optimism throughout the process was as much a part of my treatment program as the radiation, chemotherapy and surgery.  

Adversity is an inevitable part of life.  Circumstances may not always be within our control, but the frame of mind with which we approach any situation is entirely up to us.

Optimism can be a tool of empowerment in all facets of life.  Whether you are battling a disease, making important decisions or just trying to get through life's every day trials, maintaining a positive attitude is essential.
